is anybody getting the CrowPi2

I liked the design of it and noticed it has fewer buttons but it does have a joystick and a 8x8 rgb LED matrix bigger screen with a camera and mic
and all the other sensors and things from the original one

but I didn't like the cheap plastic case they put it in
I would have if it was an aluminum case at least for the outer shell

First I have heard about this, how did you find out ?

Looks like I have missed out on the cheap starter kit with a 4B 4G so unless Elecrow send me a free one for setting up this support site, I will have to leave it as funds can't stretch that far at the moment

They sent me an E-mail after the Kickstarter started since I was on the Kickstarter for the original.
if they make a v3 with a metal shell I will upgrade

It looks like the Kickstarter has ended and now there taking preorders from their website for $269.00USD

I'm still waiting for a metal case maybe #3 or 4 version!

Mine arrived this week - I wrote a bit more in the Introduce yourself section.

I don't think it is feasible to power it through the micro usb - you would need a short, low-resistance cable and a good battery pack.
