missing lirc init

Post by mickoz »

The init routine which should be in the lirc library isn’t. Reading comments under the video I saw others had the same problem and I have asked elecrow for a response which I will post here when I get it. I’m guessing it is related to the software upgrades since v1.0 which have mainly been beneficial and allow all the Python code to be run from the GUI rather than having to run pre-version3 code from the command line.

CrowPi v2 with the Pi 4B requires new version of drivers and these were not shipped on the MicroSD shipped with the unit. You have to
(1) Download the updated CrowPi image from https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZLW9xX ... sp=sharing with the new drivers

(2) If you haven't already got it, install Etcher (https://www.balena.io/etcher/) to burn that new image to your MicroSD card.
